The Salisbury Review

The Salisbury Review was first published in 1982 to articulate a tradition of social and cultural conservativism which was older and richer than the neoliberalism of the Thatcher years. Roger Scruton was its editor for the first eighteen years. Now over 40 years old, the magazine continues to convey the ideas and concerns of genuine conservatism, to defend our national culture, and to say the unsayable.

As an independent magazine it encourages writers to say exactly what they think. The Review has no owner, no interest group telling them what they can or cannot publish, no censor siting at the editor’s elbow telling him to remove woke words.

The Review is published quarterly.
