Birmingham Universities

There are five universities in Birmingham – Aston University, the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, Birmingham Newman University, and University College Birmingham.

Membership of the Birmingham Universities AFAF branch is open to academics, professional staff, and students who want to defend free speech and academic freedom at their university.

We invite interested individuals to join us, irrespective of their disciplinary background, or political views.

We ask only that you are committed to defending and advocating for free speech and academic freedom as defined in the AFAF Statement of Academic Freedom.
